The homeowner called us out for duct cleaning but after talking with our Home Comfort Specialist, the homeowners realized that they no longer needed to live with the cold floors in the winter.

The Dr. Energy Saver Specialist did a thorough inspection and showed the homeowners how the problem could be fixed by removing the old nasty fiberglass insulation and spray foaming the floor underneath their home.

This homeowner now has a more comfortable home in the winter time with warmer floors and has reduced the amount of heating and cooling they will need to keep the home more comfortable year round.

Before, this attic had minimal insulation and significant air leakage, leading to energy loss and uncomfortable temperatures year-round. After installing SilverGlo™ rigid foam insulation, the attic is now properly sealed and insulated, helping to improve home comfort and energy efficiency.

Homeowner's in Ocean View, DE wanted to create a conditioned living space within their home. 

Their room was not properly insulated and could not be used as a living space. To created a conditioned living space, Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva has installed Spray Foam. Closed Cell Spray Foam is sprayed in layers on the bottom of the roof deck and sealed to the perimeter of the ceiling. This creates an airtight cap to prevent air from leaking in or out of the room. 

Now the room is the same temperature as the other finished rooms in the home, the home is less drafty and the cost of utility devices will decrease.

The rim joist of a home is rarely insulated and never sealed during construction. These joints and gaps between the framing allow for a lot of outside air to enter the home. This means that whatever temperature the outdoor air currently is, the same temperature air is being leaked into the home. This could make for very cold floors in the winter and hot, humid conditions for the crawl space in the summer.
