Save Money on Water Heating

Up to 15% of a typical home's energy consumption goes toward heating water. While having plenty of hot water for bath, showers, dishes, and laundry is highly desirable; the cost of such comfort can get pretty high if you have a big family.

In times of soaring energy prices, that can easily become a burden on your budget.

The most energy efficient way to heat water is by upgrading to a wall mounted, tankless water heater.

Because of the way they work, some of these models offer 95% energy efficiency and can save you up to 45% in your water heating bill. Also called "on demand" heaters, they supply a never ending flow of hot water, shower after shower, load after load, while still consuming much less energy than a conventional water heater.

However, not everyone can afford to upgrade to a tankless water heater right away. There are however, a few things you can do that will help you save some money by making the best use of your current system.

A few small changes in habits and water consumption, as suggested by Dr. Energy Saver's own Tim Snyder in this article, and a couple of very affordable improvements can help you save hundreds right away. Call Dr. Energy Saver for a free water heater evaluation and see how easy and affordable it can be.

This video will show you a few things you can do to make your existing water heater work for you.
