CROWNSVILLE, MD – Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva Operations Manager David Lawson will speak at the Be SMART summit. Lawson will speak on why more Maryland homeowners are choosing Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva over other energy auditors and contractors. The summit will be held at the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development in Crownsville, MD on Tuesday, October 23.

The summit will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be SMART (Save Money and Resources Today) is a Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development initiative put in place for Maryland residents as an incentive for homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient. Lawson was chosen to speak based on Dr. Energy Saver being a top performer for this initiative.

To be eligible for Be SMART, homeowners must be in the service territory of the following utility companies:

City of Hagerstown Light Department
Thurmont Municipal Light Company

MILTON, DE – Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva is working to help all Maryland homeowners take advantage of available energy rebates by making their homes more energy efficient. These rebates are available to all Maryland homeowners through two programs: Delmarva Power’s energy savings program and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s Be SMART program.

A complete home energy audit performed by the Maryland-approved vendor Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva is available to all Maryland residents. The audit includes assessing and recommending energy saving techniques the homeowner can put in place immediately. Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva will also install energy saving appliances as part of the home energy audit at no extra cost to the homeowner. These appliances include compact fluorescent light bulbs, low-flow shower heads, faucet aerators, and the wrapping of hot water tank and pipes.

Additional services are available through the rebate programs. Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva inspectors explain which rebates are best for all Maryland residents at a scheduled home energy audit.
